Try A Little Kindness
This first song in the Glen Campbell collection called Try A Little Kindness, was released in 1969. It made it to No.2 on the US country charts and was a No.1 hit in the UK.

Galveston
This song was written by songwriter and musician Jimmy Webb and recorded and released by Glen Campbell in 1969. The song was considered a bit of a protest song for Vietnam, but Webb said that was not the war he had in mind when he penned the words.

The song portrays Galveston as a woman and the singer as a soldier who misses her. The song made it to #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 and hit #1 on the Easy Listening Charts.

Glen Campbell was a much sought after studio musician during his early career and played on many recordings by other artists including Merle Haggard, The Monkeys, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, The Mamas And The Papas and many others.

He also sang and toured with the Beach Boys in the mid 60's, filling in for Brain Wilson and playing bass guitar during that time.

The Glen Campbell Good Time Hour ran for 4 years on CBS from 1968 to 1972.
