Well in spite the fact that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman recently got married and Kenny and Rene each were invited, both did make an appearance, but to this date have not re-united. And it doesn't appear that they will, although they are still close friends.

The latest news on Kennys sexuality? Apparently a Southwest airline 47yr old stewardess announced on a recent flight last week that Kenny is not gay, as she was his lover for the past 10 years before he married Rene.
Paula Jackson said: “I taught him everything he knows. Rene should have called me, I would have told her, there’s no way he should be married.”

Well in case you haven't heard, Kenny Chesney and Rene Zellweger recently had lunch, again. Actually it was last Friday the 6th Jan in a sandwich shop in Franklyn Tenn, just outside of Nashville.
But Kennys publicist, Holly Gleason says they have NO re-marriage plans, they're just friends.
Interestingly enough, the sub shop owner said he had just been watching "Cinderella Man" about 10 hrs before, and all of a sudden there is Rene in his shop ordering a Philly cheesesteak, and hold the cheese plz. He recognized her by her voice. And what did Kenny order? Turkey sandwich, no mayo, no cheese, and no dressings!
Hey, that sounds like it could be a hit song!

Fri 23 Dec 05Well a Supreme Cout Judge in LA grated the annulment that has been hanging over Kennys head since Sep, so officially, they've never really been married. So I took down the poll I had up here as I didn't figure that was an appropriate question any longer.

OK .. here is the latest on all of those rumors flying around about a reunion between Kenny Chesney and Rene Zellweger. Her publicist has told the New York times that the meetings recently were simply to tie up loose ends on their break-up. They've remained friends and on good terms, but nothing more. No dating and no reunion.

Well, like I said before ... don't get too excited when rumors start to fly as a spokesperson for Rene Zellweger has now denied that any meetings ever took place between her and Kenny. She said "She and Kenny are not getting back together and they are not dating."

It is being reported from several sources around the Internet today that Renee Zellweger and ex-husband Kenny Chesney are back together.
These reports are coming from people who have seen the couple out on a series of "intimate" dates and enjoying a romantic dinner at Mario's restaurant in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. Apparently the two are now saying they are willing to give their 128-day marriage another shot.
A witness, Anna Hernandez told "In Touch Weekly" magazine "They just kept looking at each other. They were very happy and cuddly during their meal," and two days earlier at the town's Wethersfield Diner they were seen holding hands ... with Kenny suppossedly kissed Rene twice on the cheek.
Has Kenny Chesney and Rene Zellweger been staying in close contact over the past few months in spite of all of the press hoopla? "Kenny is an amazing optimist and even at his lowest point he kept telling pals 'I don't think the final chapter has been written for us yet.'Remember folks, I'm just passing on info about this story from what I've gleaned across the web, so nothing is final here until it's final.
"She's discovering what attracted her to him in the first place. He's a gentleman with a big heart," a friend of Renee's said. And since Zellweger and Nicole Kidman are buds, and Kenny and Keith Urban are buds, well suppossedly Renee asked Nicole Kidman for some advice.

According to a report in Mirror.co.uk on Thur 15 Dec 05, Kenny Chesney and Rene Zellweger have been seen together enjoying a dinner at a restaurant in Connecticut.
Speaking about the Kenny Chesney break up and marriage with Rene Zellweger, Kenny said on his recent appearance on "The View" that "She and I fell in love like a couple of schoolkids,". "I'm glad to know that that can happen. That that exists. And we really still care about each other a lot,".
Kenny also said: "It would've been a bad thing if I hadn't met (her). She's wonderful."I don't want to sit here and go, 'Poor me.' I am totally blessed, and I'm grateful for it (romance)."
Most fans were shocked to learn that Kenny Chesney and Rene Zellweger had tied the knot. The two met on 15 Jan 05 at the "Concert of Hope" for tsunami relief and were wed in a 15 minute ceremony near Kennys home in the US Virgin Islands on 9 May 05.
With approximately 45 family and friends in attendance, this looked like it could be the real deal for Kenny Chesney and Rene Zellweger. Rene (36) is a Texas native and Kenny (37) of course is originally from Lutrell Tennessee.
Only after a very short 120 day marriage with the hollywood actress, the kenny chesney break up occured on 15 Sept 05 when Rene Zellweger filed for an annulment to their marriage, citing fraud as the reason. Not in the traditional sense of the word as a slur on his character, just a legal term.
Kenny, as they say, never saw this one coming and was completely caught off guard. And that's a real shame considering he told Access Hollywood recently that "I am incedibly happy. I may well be the luckiest man alive ... to be so in love with someone who is so perfect for me. It's hard to imagine I'm not going to wake up".
In an interview with Country Music Weekly, Kenny admitted he had a lot on his plate at the time, trying to juggle a music tour, a new album and of course his first wife. But says, he'll be OK. In an interview with Life magazine, Kenny said how important music had been in helping him through this period of his life saying "It's like medicine - and obviously I need that now".

You've no doubt read where Kenny supposedly compared Rene leaving to someone coming in and stealing his big screen TV in the middle of a big game.
But the actual question that was asked by the Life reporter was "Were you taken aback by all the attention your breakup with Renee Zellweger got?" ... so the magazine issued an apology because the facts were naturally twisted to make Kenny look like a redneck.Kenny is quick to point out that some songs on his upcoming CD "The Road And The Radio", have nothing to do with the Kenny Chesney and Rene Zellweger breakup, since the CD was finished before his split with Rene. But he doesn't rule out the possibility that his next CD may have some songs about Kenny Chesney and Rene Zellweger on it.
Kenny realizes that the tabloids are having a field day with his breakup, but says it's important for his upcoming CD to come out, to remind people he isn't in the tabloids for a living. It comes with the territory he says. Will Kenny Chesney and Rene Zellweger re-unite? We shall see in time.
